We’re a small, family-run farm rooted in the beautiful St. John Valley, where hard work, good food, and community mean everything to us. What started as a dream to live closer to the land has become a way of life that feeds both our family and our neighbors.
We chose to farm because we believe in real food, grown with care. We wanted our kids to understand where their food comes from, to get their hands in the dirt, and to live a life grounded in purpose, gratitude, and connection. There’s something sacred about planting a seed and watching it become nourishment.
Thanks for being part of our story. We’re so glad you’re here.
At Freckle Farm, we’re proud to grow fresh, local produce and connect our community to good food.
We grow various vegetables, focusing on quality, sustainability, and seasonality. More than anything, we’re here to build community—whether through a quick chat at the farm stand, a familiar face at the market, or a shared love for a delicious tomato.
WIC/SNAP and Maine Senior Farm Shares are accepted at both on the farm and farmers markets.

Our blog, Farm Thoughts, is where we share life as we live it—on the farm, in the dirt, and often in boots covered in mud. It's a mix of real talk, funny stories, growing pains, and hard-won lessons from the fields. We write to stay connected with our community, reflect on our journey, and hopefully bring a smile to your face. Whether you're curious about farming, food, or just want to see what’s growing (or going wrong) this season, our blog is a window into the heart of Freckle Farm.
1. What kind of produce do you grow?
We grow various seasonal vegetables, from crisp salad mixes to carrots, peas, radishes, and more. The selection changes with the season, so check our weekly email or stop by to see what’s fresh!
2. Where can I buy your produce?
You can find us every Saturday at the Madawaska Farmers Market (9 AM–1 PM) and at our on-farm self-serve store Monday through Thursday from (TBD). We also send out weekly emails with current availability and pickup info!
3. How does the self-serve farm store work?
It’s simple! Come during open hours, choose what you’d like, and pay using cash, check, or Venmo. We keep it stocked with freshly harvested items based on the season.
4. Do you spray your vegetables?
We grow with a deep respect for the land and your health, but we are not certified organic.
5. Can I visit the farm or volunteer?
We love visitors! While we don’t have open hours beyond our farm store hours just yet, feel free to reach out if you're interested in a tour or helping out—we’ll see what we can work out!
